Animoca Brands and LightLink partner to enhance Web3 gameplay

A strategic partnership has been established between Animoca Brands and LightLink. Animoca Brands intends to incorporate LightLink’s Ethereum Layer 2 technology into a subset of its initiatives as part of this partnership.

Furthermore, Animoca Brands will provide advisory services in support of LightLink’s tokenomics initiatives and go-to-market strategies. Animoca Brands develops digital property rights, specifically focusing on the open metaverse and gaming industries. In contrast, LightLink is an Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain that enables instantaneous gasless transactions.

With LightLink, companies can subscribe to their apps to run gas-free, and consumers can join a public blockchain environment without buying tokens or paying gas expenses. The collaboration will make it easier for the projects and portfolio companies of Animoca Brands to provide their users with a powerful Web3 experience that is both simple and frictionless.

With LightLink’s enhancements to the Web3 development process, users can enjoy many advantages, such as the ability to release NFT tickets without a standard token and gas-charge-free, frictionless transfers of game assets. 

At this time, LightLink is being utilized by over 25 associates, including Grapes and The Red Village. Furthermore, it is currently being integrated into Translucia, an endeavor worth $300 million that is a joint venture between T&B Media Global and MQDC.

Through the partnership, both organizations aim to promote an advanced interconnected economy, facilitate the connection between decentralized applications (dApps) and a substantial user base composed of enterprise partners, and advance the adoption of blockchain technology on the mainline.

According to Roy Hui, co-founder and chief executive officer of LightLink, this partnership with Animoca Brands will enable a greater number of consumers to establish global connections with blockchain technology. This will create opportunities for additional communities to integrate blockchain technology into their routine operations.

Yat Siu, executive chairman and co-founder of Animoca Brands, asserts that the partnership with LightLink will ensure a seamless Web3 environment. The widespread adoption of LightLink’s gasless transactions will align with their objective of decentralizing the digital sphere.

LightLink is an Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain that enables enterprises and decentralized applications to conduct gasless, real-time user transactions. By integrating optimistic rollups into its established architecture, LightLink offers significantly higher transaction throughput than Ethereum, resulting in enhanced upgradeability and reduced user exposure.

As an established participant in Web3, Animoca Brands implements the open metaverse by introducing digital property rights to consumers worldwide via blockchain technology.
